Lufthansa’s €325M deal for ITA Airways nears EU approval

Lufthansa’s €325 million investment in Italy’s ITA Airways is set to get the green light from the European Union by July 4. The deal will help Prime Minister Meloni reduce Italy’s debt.

Lufthansa will start by buying 41% of ITA, with plans to buy more later. To ease EU competition concerns, Lufthansa offered solutions to keep long-haul flight prices fair.
